I am a music therapist and received my Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy with a minor in psychology from Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA. During my time as a student music therapist, I worked with a wide-variety of populations and completed a two-year internship at Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, MA. Throughout my studies, I have accumulated a vast experience in settings such as school districts, hospitals, private practices, group homes, and skilled nursing facilities.
My philosophy as a therapist is built upon supporting self-empowerment, self-expression, creativity, and potential for growth & wellness through the modality of music. I specialize in musical interventions based on improvisation, song-writing, music & movement, adaptive lessons, vocational trainings, studio recording/engineering projects, and other relationship-based experiences. The parallels between my work as a music therapist and my outlook on life consists of my passion for making a difference in the world through fostering meaningful connections, always learning, growing, spreading joy, and promoting positivity.
Outside of music therapy, I enjoy playing many instruments, song-writing, attending live music, practicing meditation/ mindfulness techniques, traveling, camping, hiking, reading, delicious meals, and my pet greyhound.
I am very happy and motivated to be a part of the Sing Explore Create team!
