A.B.C. Play!

Morning and Afternoon Sessions

Ages: 2.9-5 years
Schedule (AM Session): Wednesdays, 9:30-11:30am

For ages 2.9-5, this supportive 2-hour integrated playgroup focuses on healthy child development, school-readiness, and making new friends…all through music, art, movement and creative play! Run in collaboration with Leading Therapy Home and facilitated by a board-certified music therapist, speech language pathologist, and occupational therapist.

This weekly drop-off class has a morning or afternoon option.

Register for our SUMMER (July/Aug) or 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR program!

Activities chosen will aim to strengthen speech and communication skills, gross and fine motor movement, as well as social skills in order to build confidence and help children connect with new friends. Each class includes the following activities, designed and facilitated by the MT, SLP, and/or OT.

Free Play (transition into the group with a targeted focus on facilitating social play and working on SLP/OT goals in a natural environment)
Music (instrument play, singing, dancing, drumming, and music games that center on goals targeting communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction with their peers)
Snack & Socialize (gain independence in retrieving their snack and learn how to ask for help. The group eats snack together and our SLP facilitates group discussion as well as a story or an interactive game)
Arts & Crafts (fine motor planning and skill building with the OT that includes painting, pre-writing skills, cutting, gluing, sensory play, and more.)
Movement Games (dancing, parachute play, obstacle courses, gross motor games facilitated by the OT targeting motor planning, balance, jumping, body control, body awareness, and regulation)
Star Time (five minutes reserved at the end to practice mindfulness and deep breathing before seeing our caregivers)

A.B.C. Play is an integrated program that will benefit all children, including those in need of support in any developmental areas. Support staff (such as ABA therapists) are welcome to assist any child who needs 1:1 support to participate. The Leading Therapy Home therapists offer 30-minute, direct 1:1 therapeutic interventions integrated into the class structure with potential insurance reimbursement on a case-by-case basis. Classes are held at Sing Explore Create, LLC.

Our music therapists engage clients in a variety of motivating music and creative arts experiences that support each individual's developmental, social, and mental health goals. Children may participate in private music therapy independently or with a caregiver. Sibling sessions are also available.

For neurodivergent students and those with disabilities. Students will connect with peers, develop social/communication skills, and have a fun space to creatively express themselves. Developmentally appropriate activities will focus on increasing ability to attend, taking turns, communication skills, self expression, and self regulation. We'll guide the group through drumming, singing, playing instruments, movement and music games! No experience necessary!

Who does this group most benefit?

This group will most benefit children with an ASD/IDD or global delay diagnosis. Kids in this program may struggle to find other after school programs that are accessible to them. Children in this group will be working on improving the following skills: following the group plan, building connections with peers, engaging in reciprocal conversation, and following one-step directives.

If your child needs periodic breaks or requires 1:1 attention at school, they may need a 1:1 to ensure they are most successful. A caregiver, therapist, or support staff is welcome to attend the group if they are unable to participate independently within the group.

All communication styles are welcome (if your child utilizes an AAC device, please bring it to group with them).

Stress-Less Creativity Club (Ages 6-9)

Activities are presented in a fun way that encourages students to engage and participate, while also socializing with other kids. Students will exercise their creativity and build confidence while participating in group discussions, drumming, songwriting, painting, drawing, listening to music, playing games, etc.

Who does this group most benefit?

Students in this group may worry a lot, have anxiety, or may be shy. Others may just be looking for a way to maintain their mental health in a fun and creative environment (exercising their mind, just like we do our bodies!). Students should be able to participate in group discussions. They will have the opportunity to verbally process their big feelings and practice coping skills in real time. They will work on building positive connections with peers, identifying feelings, and expressing themselves in a healthy way.

Students should be able to participate independently within the group.

Each week, students will participate in fun, engaging music and creative arts activities designed to help them express themselves in safe and productive ways while learning strategies to manage big feelings and calm their minds and bodies. Through music, art, movement, games, stories, and play, students will explore age-appropriate coping skills, build creativity, and connect with peers in a supportive group environment. Activities may include group discussions, drumming, songwriting, painting, drawing, listening to music, movement, and other hands-on creative experiences that encourage participation, self-expression, and socialization. No experience is necessary.

Who does this group most benefit?

This group is for students who may experience anxiety, worry, shyness, or difficulty finding healthy outlets for self-expression, as well as those who simply enjoy learning creative strategies to support their emotional well-being. Students who benefit from movement, interactive games, and a multi-sensory approach—including those with or without ADD/ADHD or anxiety diagnoses—are encouraged to participate. Group members will work towards participating in discussions, where they will have opportunities to process big feelings, practice coping skills in real time, build positive peer connections, identify emotions, and express themselves in healthy, creative ways.

Students should be able to participate independently within the group.

During this program, we will lead students through music and creative arts activities designed to teach strategies that help students express themselves in safe and productive ways, as well as calm their mind and bodies when they feel overwhelmed. Students will exercise their creativity and build confidence while participating in group discussions, drumming, songwriting, painting, drawing, listening to music, etc. We recognize that it can be intimidating to make music and art with others, but be assured, we create a space where everyone will feel comfortable participating. Students will also have input into some of the arts experiences and projects we do, as well as music we listen to.

Who does this group most benefit?

Students participating in this program may be stressed or worry a lot, have anxiety (diagnosed or not), or may be shy. Others may just be looking for a way to maintain their mental health in a fun and creative environment (exercising their mind, just like we do our bodies!). Students should be able to participate in group discussions. They will have the opportunity to verbally process their feelings and practice coping skills in real time. They will work on building coping skills for stress/anxiety, making positive connections with peers, and expressing themselves in healthy ways.

In this class, participants will participate in drumming and playing other instruments, listening to music, and playing music games/activities to get to know one another. Performance opportunities may be available for those interested (not required). No experience needed!

Who does this group most benefit?

This group will most benefit young adults (~18-30) with an ASD/IDD or related diagnosis. In addition to having fun making music, participants will work on the following skills: following the group plan, building positive connections with peers, engaging in reciprocal conversation (this may look different for everyone), and following one-two step directives.

A caregiver, therapist, or support staff is welcome to attend the group with anyone who is unable to independently stay within the group or may need to take breaks.

All communication styles are welcome (if you utilize an AAC device, please bring it to the group).

Drum, Jam, Connect (Adults)

Ages: 30+
Schedule: Thursdays, 1:15-2:15pm

This group is designed for adults with an ASD/IDD or related diagnosis. Participants will engage in music activities while focusing on skills such as group planning, social connections, conversations, and task-following. Caregivers or support staff are encouraged to join if additional support is needed. All communication methods, including AAC devices, are accepted.

Join us for 2-hours each week of engaging music and creative arts activities that allow participants to socialize and connect with peers in their community. Group members will have the opportunity to participate in drumming/instrument-playing, songwriting, singing, movement, art, theater, and games that focus on social/emotional health. All activities will be adapted to allow everyone to successfully participate and have a voice within the group (regardless of skill level and communication method). Limited space available! All materials are included in the monthly tuition.

Who does this group most benefit?

This group will most benefit adults with an ASD/IDD or related diagnosis. Great for adults looking to supplement a part-time day program or fill in their self-directed services plan. We strive to make real connections and new friendships between group members. Many end up connecting socially outside of the group. A great opportunity for someone looking to make new friends and meet peers with similar interests. The goals of this group are building positive connections with peers, engaging in reciprocal conversation (this may look different for everyone), and finding new creative outlets for self-expression and maintaining your mental health.

A caregiver, therapist, or support staff is welcome to attend the group with anyone who is unable to independently stay within the group or may need to take breaks.

All communication styles are welcome (if you utilize an AAC device, please bring it to the group).
