Assisted Living and Memory Care

We should continue to have opportunities to learn and make meaningful connections as we age.  We provide opportunities for residents to use music and the arts to manage stress/promote relaxation, maintain or strengthen cognitive skills, and make meaningful connections with each other.

From specialized memory care services to wellness for assisted living, our programs are:

Accessible

4

There is no special talent or previous experience needed to benefit from any of our programs! We adapt activities, so all residents can successfully participate. We’ll create an environment where people feel comfortable listening to, discussing, and making music (and maybe even laugh a bit along the way!).

Creative

6

We are not here to perform for your residents.  We are here to engage residents in the creative process, so everyone can improve their own wellbeing. Participating in active music making, listening, and other creative endeavors has numerous benefits for the aging body and brain, including strengthening cognition.

Goal-Oriented

8

Our programs and services are thoughtfully planned to meet the needs and identified goals of the residents in front of us. We help older adults improve/maintain cognitive skills, strengthen motor skills, cope with end-of-life issues, and improve social/emotional wellness through music and arts experiences.

A Collaborative Approach

Although we are not at your residence every day, we consider ourselves a part of your team of support staff and providers. We value communication between residents, family members, staff, and other stakeholders to make sure that we are meeting the needs of everyone who participates in our programs and services. We document all sessions, so progress can be tracked and any necessary adjustments to the service delivery plan can be made.

You may only work with one of our music therapists, but you can be assured you have an entire team of music therapists behind the services provided. Our team meets regularly to share research, resources, songs, and activities to make sure we are all providing the most engaging, accessible, and effective music therapy and creative arts wellness programs.
