Sam Roane, MT-BC (she/her)

(Community Partner Liaison & Music Therapist)

I joined the team at Sing Explore Create in 2022. I am a Board Certified Music Therapist and received my bachelor’s degree in music therapy with a minor in psychology from the University of Dayton. I strive to support each person I work with through humanistic, resource-oriented, and adaptable approaches. I have experience working with individuals and groups across the lifespan including work in memory care, hospice, schools, community centers, mental health centers, and more. During my internship, I specialized in memory care and completed the Alzheimer's Association's Person-Centered Care Habilitation Training Curriculum as well as Teepa Snow's Positive Approach to Care training. I am passionate about building community, promoting creative expression, and creating safe, encouraging therapeutic spaces for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
My love for music extends beyond the workplace. After work, you might find me enjoying live music or singing in the car with the windows down. I also love spending time in nature - especially watching sunsets and kayaking!
I am so grateful to be a part of the wonderful, creative team of music therapists at Sing Explore Create!
