Sam Roane, MT-BC
(Music Therapist)
I am a Board-Certified Music Therapist from Stoughton, MA. I received my bachelor’s degree in music therapy with a minor in psychology from the University of Dayton and completed my internship at Birch Bay Retirement Village in Bar Harbor, ME. Throughout my training and education, I gained experience providing music therapy services in a variety of settings including schools, mental health care, dementia care, and hospice. In my music therapy work, I strive to promote the strengths and dignity of all people through open-minded, empathetic, and adaptable approaches to care.
My passion for music extends beyond my career in music therapy. Music has been a source of community and expression throughout my entire life. From growing up singing with family, to competing in jazz ensembles throughout high school, to directing a collegiate a cappella group, I have always found that music creates meaningful connections.
I am grateful to be a part of the wonderful team at Sing Explore Create and I am excited to bring about healing and change through music across the South Shore!
