Fostering healthy social/emotional and overall development in children through FUN and creative PLAY opportunities

Music, Art, Movement, Learning and Fun!

A.B.C. Play! is a 2-hour weekly drop-off program that allows your 3-5 year old* to explore their creativity, make friends, and sets the stage for a lifelong love of learning and the arts.  Children are meant to learn through hands-on play and are naturally drawn to music, art, and movement.  Our curriculum, developed by our team of board-certified music therapists, is centered around the use of music, art, movement and a whole lot of FUN to support social/emotional learning and healthy child development.

Sample Schedule:

  • Free Play/Arrival
  • Welcome Circle
  • Music and Movement
  • Art and Story Time
  • Instrument Play and Musical Games
  • Free Play/Goodbye

*Children should be potty trained.  Groups will have a minimum of 6 and maximum of 8 students with 2 teachers.  Group will be split up by age for some activities.

Health and Safety

The physical health and safety is just as important to us as the social/emotional wellness of our students.  Groups are kept very small (6 min./8 max. with 2 teachers) and utilize 2 of our large group spaces, with only 1 group of students at the center at a time.  Groups will be split up by age for certain activities to allow for appropriate spacing and more hands-on learning opportunities.  In accordance with state/CDC guidelines, teachers will wear masks at all times, while masks will be optional for children.  All students will be given their own creativity kits that include instruments, art materials, movement props and more to avoid sharing of materials.  Bathrooms and all group spaces are disinfected before, between, and after all groups.  All surface areas are cleaned throughout the day as used.  All registered families will be given updated health and safety policies at the beginning of September (groups start the week of September 14, 2020), including detailed information on health checks during drop-off.  Policies will continuously be updated according to state/CDC guidelines.  Contact our Director, Nicole Craven, with any questions.

A.B.C. Play! @ Home

We will continue to help families connect throughout the week through our online interactive classroom.  The online classroom will house additional weekly resources and at-home activities, including a weekly newsletter, and recorded musical bedtime stories with your teacher (all optional, but loads of fun!).  Additionally, parents will be invited to a monthly virtual meet up to connect with other parents as we all navigate the challenges of parenting through the pandemic.

Play! group or other arts-based enrichment programming for older children and teens.  We will discuss the most appropriate curriculum and structure for your group.  In-person drop-off groups are typically run for 75-minutes to 2 hours (meeting once per week), while virtual groups are anywhere from 30-60 minutes (meeting once or more per week).  Private creative cohorts may choose from any of the following
